Recruitment recovery accelerates at the start of 2021 [Pulse Survey Results]

Industry News

Our latest pulse survey has revealed how both employers and recruitment agencies are already bouncing back after 2020.

New data from over 500 organisations collected across the last 10 months reveals incredibly positive signs for recruitment.

  • The mood is more positive - 94% of employers and 81% of agencies feeling positive about the future
  • The focus is on the future - With agencies prioritising winning new clients to help them build back their businesses, and employers focusing on improving candidate experience
  • Recovery continues in lockdown - Despite the latest restrictions, a significantly higher proportion of the recruitment industry has been able to continue without hiring freezes or other big changes

Of course, it's still far from a walk in the park. Recruitment in some key sectors is still struggling and the latest restrictions have hit some employers and agencies hard.

The industry looks very different on this side of the pandemic than at the start, with the challenges for recruitment teams having changed.

Generating results with less budget was the largest concern

But even as we face these challenges, there's a sense that the end is in sight.
